Pi Official Developer Update: Developer Portal Redesign, Launchpad Test Token Price Tracking, SoloHost AI Packaging Skill, PiVerify New Checks

Published October 29, 2026 at 07:32 PMUpdated October 30, 2026 at 12:00 AM

On October 29 (UTC), the official team released a developer-oriented update covering four key areas: Developer Portal interface redesign, BlockExplorer adding Launchpad test token price tracking, SoloHost adding a packaging skill for AI assistants, and PiVerify adding new detection items. The following is organized based on the official announcement.

1. Developer Portal: New "App Configuration" Block

The official team announced a redesign of the Developer Portal interface:

Redesign Highlights
→ Replaces the original onboarding checklist with an "App Configuration" block
→ App Configuration integrates: domains, API keys, app wallets, privacy information
→ Clearer navigation, direct access to: Pi Sign-In, Ecosystem Listing, PiNet, Pi Ad Network

Significance for developers: Settings that were previously scattered across different locations are now centrally managed. This is an adjustment to the interface and workflow; the official announcement did not mention new features or permission changes.

2. BlockExplorer: Historical Price Tracking for Launchpad Test Tokens

The official team announced that BlockExplorer now provides historical price tracking for Launchpad test tokens, such as the price trend of SLICE against Test-Pi.

Where to view
→ blockexplorer.minepi.com/testnet/tokens

Official highlights
→ No Pi Browser or Pi account required to view
→ Mainnet tokens will also be displayed on this page once launched
→ Test tokens will not be transferred to Mainnet

The prices displayed here are transaction data for test tokens against Test-Pi on the Testnet. Their purpose is to allow developers and the community to observe the Launchpad process and AMM operations, and they do not represent any Mainnet asset value.

3. SoloHost: New "solohost-package" Skill for AI Assistants

The official team announced that a new skill has been added to the SoloHost GitHub project, enabling AI coding assistants (officially listing Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) to help developers package applications into a SoloHost-compatible format.

Skill location
→ github.com/pi-node/solohost/tree/main/skills/solohost-package

What it does
→ Based on a public Docker image
→ Generates and validates docker-compose.yml and config_options.yml

The official team also mentioned that SoloHost has a reach of over 420,000 nodes.

Significance for developers: This lowers the barrier for integrating existing Docker applications into SoloHost, eliminating the need to manually write these two configuration files.

4. PiVerify: New Face Uniqueness and Multiple Liveness Checks

The official team announced that PiVerify has added two new types of checks for third parties:

→ Face uniqueness
→ Multiple liveness checks

The official announcement only mentioned the addition of these two items, without disclosing algorithm details, accuracy rates, or the timeline for third-party integration.

OrbitWatch's Observations

OrbitWatch reviewed the themes of the official blog over the past three weeks and found that several consecutive posts focused on developers and infrastructure: Developer Portal, SoloHost, developer capability documentation, and Launchpad test tokens. In terms of pace, the official team's recent communication emphasis is clearly on "making it easier for developers to build things."

Additionally, this update did not mention when third-party developers will be able to deploy smart contracts on the Mainnet, nor did it clarify whether the Pi SDK will add direct calls to smart contracts. These two questions remain unanswered in the previously compiled list of gaps, and OrbitWatch will continue to track them.
